Today's Tip - softening hard brown sugar
Ever reach for the brown sugar only to discover that it's one solid clump. You don't have to throw it away! Read here for an easy way to make it soft and usable again.

Great tip!
thanks for sharing I knew that adding a piece of bread to your brown sugar would soften it up but takes a couple of days so a quicker way like this will come in handy.

I will have to try this as it seems I always have hard brown sugar, also raisins tend to get hard but if you soak them they get all soft and happy again.

Don't forget you can always use a 'Brown Sugar Saver' on top of your hard brown sugar in a sealed container! They are cute little terra cotta discs, and they work for up to 3 months. Making cookies is a whole lot easier when you don't have to interrupt yourself to soften the brown sugar! ☼
